Does a Ghost immobiliser drain the battery?
No. It draws a negligible current when the vehicle is parked — far less than the car’s own standby systems. A car that already sits for weeks at a time may still need a trickle charger, but that is the vehicle, not the Ghost.
Can a Ghost immobiliser be removed or transferred to another car?
It can be removed, and because nothing is cut into the factory loom the vehicle goes back to standard. Transferring it to a different car is not simply unplugging and replugging — the unit needs reconfiguring for the new vehicle — so talk to us before you sell and we will tell you whether it is worth moving.
