ECU Remapping & Tuning

Vehicle-specific ECU remapping done properly — smoother, stronger performance or improved economy, with your original file kept safe.

Send us your reg and what you’re after — you’ll get a real price back, usually within the hour.

A remap rewrites the software your engine ECU runs on. Done well, it sharpens throttle response, smooths the power delivery and gets the best out of the engine your manufacturer built to a compromise. Done badly, it costs you an engine — which is why we take a careful, vehicle-specific approach rather than loading a generic file and hoping.

We read and store your original file before anything is written, so the vehicle can always be returned to standard. Before we start, we’ll give you an honest view of whether your vehicle is a good candidate — and tell you if it isn’t.

Why it’s a “from” price

The final figure depends on your vehicle and the kit you choose, so quoting one number for everyone would be guesswork. Tell us what you drive and what you’re after and you’ll get a real price back, usually within the hour.

  • Performance or economy

Tuned for the way you actually drive — power, drivability, or MPG.

  • Original file kept

Your factory map is read and stored first, so it’s fully reversible.

  • Health checks first

We check the vehicle is fit to tune before writing anything to the ECU.

  • Straight advice

If a remap isn’t right for your car, we’ll tell you. TODO(client): confirm covered makes.

FAQs

Remapping — questions

Do I need to tell my insurer?

Yes. A remap is a modification and you must declare it to your insurer — not doing so can invalidate your policy. Most insurers will cover a declared remap; it’s a quick call worth making before you book.

Is it reversible?

Yes. We read and store your original factory file before writing anything, so your vehicle can be returned to standard.

Will it damage my engine?

A sensible, vehicle-appropriate map stays within the mechanical limits the engine was designed for. We check the vehicle’s health first and won’t tune a car that isn’t in a fit state for it.

Do you remove DPFs, EGRs or AdBlue systems?

No. Removing or disabling emissions equipment makes a vehicle illegal to use on UK roads and it will fail its MOT. We only carry out work that keeps your vehicle road-legal.
