ECU remapping in Treorchy

Remaps written at our Treorchy workshop, with the standard file saved first so everything stays reversible.

Pick a date and secure your slot online in a couple of minutes. Not sure what you need yet? Send us your reg and we’ll price it up.

We read and store your factory map before anything is written, so the vehicle can always be returned to standard. Before that we check the car is genuinely fit to tune — remapping a tired engine or a clogged filter is a fast way to find an expensive fault.

Being local means we can talk through what you actually want first. Valley driving is a lot of climbing and overtaking, so mid-range pull and drivability usually matter far more day to day than a headline peak figure.

We also cover Treherbert, Ton Pentre, Pentre and Ynyswen, plus the wider Rhondda Cynon Taf area. Bring the vehicle to our unit in Treorchy, or book a call-out and we’ll come to you.

FAQs

ECU remapping — common questions

Will you tell me if a remap isn’t right for my car?

Yes. If the vehicle isn’t a good candidate — because of its condition, its age, or what you use it for — we’ll say so rather than take the booking. TODO(client): confirm the makes and models covered.

Do I need to tell my insurer?

Yes. A remap is a modification and you must declare it to your insurer — not doing so can invalidate your policy. Most insurers will cover a declared remap; it’s a quick call worth making before you book.

Is it reversible?

Yes. We read and store your original factory file before writing anything, so your vehicle can be returned to standard.

Will it damage my engine?

A sensible, vehicle-appropriate map stays within the mechanical limits the engine was designed for. We check the vehicle’s health first and won’t tune a car that isn’t in a fit state for it.

Do you remove DPFs, EGRs or AdBlue systems?

No. Removing or disabling emissions equipment makes a vehicle illegal to use on UK roads and it will fail its MOT. We only carry out work that keeps your vehicle road-legal.
