ECU remapping in Cardiff

Remaps for Cardiff drivers, written for the car and the way you actually use it.

Pick a date and secure your slot online in a couple of minutes. Not sure what you need yet? Send us your reg and we’ll price it up.

City mileage is stop-start, short trips and cold starts — hard on a car, and rarely where a peak-power map helps. If that’s your driving, low-end response and drivability are what we tune for.

If the car does get used properly at weekends, say so and we’ll write for that instead. Either way the factory file is read and stored first, and we check the vehicle is fit to tune before anything is written.

We also cover Llandaff, Whitchurch, Penarth and Radyr, plus the wider Cardiff area. Bring the vehicle to our unit in Treorchy, or book a call-out and we’ll come to you.

FAQs

ECU remapping — common questions

Is a remap safe on a car still under manufacturer warranty?

A remap is a modification, and a manufacturer can refuse a related warranty claim once one is fitted. If your car is still in warranty we’ll talk that through honestly before you book, not after.

Do I need to tell my insurer?

Yes. A remap is a modification and you must declare it to your insurer — not doing so can invalidate your policy. Most insurers will cover a declared remap; it’s a quick call worth making before you book.

Is it reversible?

Yes. We read and store your original factory file before writing anything, so your vehicle can be returned to standard.

Will it damage my engine?

A sensible, vehicle-appropriate map stays within the mechanical limits the engine was designed for. We check the vehicle’s health first and won’t tune a car that isn’t in a fit state for it.

Do you remove DPFs, EGRs or AdBlue systems?

No. Removing or disabling emissions equipment makes a vehicle illegal to use on UK roads and it will fail its MOT. We only carry out work that keeps your vehicle road-legal.
