If you’re on the M4 every day, the gains worth having are in cruise economy and in the flexibility to overtake without dropping two gears. That’s a different map from one written for a car that never leaves town.
We read and save the standard file first so the work is reversible, and we check the vehicle over before writing. Anything that needs attention gets flagged before we tune, not after.
We also cover Pencoed, Porthcawl, Pyle and Sarn, plus the wider Bridgend area. Bring the vehicle to our unit in Treorchy, or book a call-out and we’ll come to you.

ECU remapping — common questions
How long does a remap take?
Budget around two hours at our workshop for reading the original file, writing the new map and road-testing it. We won’t hand the car back until it has been driven and checked.
Do I need to tell my insurer?
Yes. A remap is a modification and you must declare it to your insurer — not doing so can invalidate your policy. Most insurers will cover a declared remap; it’s a quick call worth making before you book.
Is it reversible?
Yes. We read and store your original factory file before writing anything, so your vehicle can be returned to standard.
Will it damage my engine?
A sensible, vehicle-appropriate map stays within the mechanical limits the engine was designed for. We check the vehicle’s health first and won’t tune a car that isn’t in a fit state for it.
Do you remove DPFs, EGRs or AdBlue systems?
No. Removing or disabling emissions equipment makes a vehicle illegal to use on UK roads and it will fail its MOT. We only carry out work that keeps your vehicle road-legal.
